The original Sprang technique reimagined in a modern, compromise solution for historical reenactors. It is highly comfortable and suitable for contemporary wear, made from 95% cotton and 5% elastane. We do not produce these in wool (except for museums) because: diagonal tailoring wool does not provide the level of comfort you, dear reenactors.🙂 Additionally, I cannot offer a reliable warranty for wool due to the risk of the fabric tearing under heavy use. Thick materials make it uncomfortable to wear or overly loose, while thin plain-weave wool cut on the bias works but lacks durability and sufficient comfort.
